Refund Policy
Effective Date: April 24, 2026
At Antarrashtriya Patrakar Mahasangh (APM Trust), we are deeply grateful for the support of our donors and members. Because our funds are immediately put to use for our programs, journalist welfare initiatives, and community services, we have established the following guidelines regarding refunds.
1. General Policy on Donations
As a general rule, all donations made to APM Trust are considered final and non-refundable. These contributions are utilized promptly to fulfill our mission and support the journalistic community.
2. Exceptional Circumstances
We recognize that mistakes can happen. We will consider a refund request in the following limited situations:
-
Technical Error: A duplicate transaction occurred due to a technical glitch or server error.
-
Incorrect Amount: An extra zero or incorrect digit was entered during the payment process.
-
Unauthorized Use: The donation was made using a card or account without the owner's authorization (fraudulent transaction).
3. Refund Request Window
To be eligible for a refund review, you must submit a written request within 7 days of the transaction date. Requests received after this period will generally not be honored.
4. How to Request a Refund
To initiate a request, please email newsapm3@gmail.com with the following details:
-
Full Name and Contact Information.
-
Date and Time of the transaction.
-
Exact Donation/Payment Amount.
-
Transaction ID or a copy of the payment receipt.
-
A clear explanation of why the refund is being requested.
5. Processing and Timelines
-
Review: Once your request is received, our team will verify the details and notify you of the approval or rejection of your refund.
-
Deductions: Please note that any transaction processing fees or bank charges incurred during the original payment or the refund process may be deducted from the final refund amount.
-
Timeline: Approved refunds are typically processed within 10–15 business days. The funds will be credited back to the original payment method (Credit Card, UPI, or Bank Account) used at the time of the transaction.
6. Tax Implications
If a donation refund is issued for a contribution for which a tax-exemption certificate has already been generated, that certificate will be rendered null and void. It is the donor's responsibility to ensure that they do not use a cancelled receipt for tax filing purposes.
7. Membership Cancellations
For recurring memberships or subscriptions, you may cancel at any time. Cancellation will stop future billing; however, previous membership fees are non-refundable as they cover the administrative costs of maintaining your active status for that period.
